Frequently asked questions

Answered honestly and to the point.

Simple and direct. We start with a workshop, plan together and deliver results every two weeks. You always stay in the loop.

Only the best for your project. Usually React & Next.js for web, native apps for mobile. Fast, secure and modern.

Yes, the all-inclusive package. We handle updates, backups and security so you can sleep soundly.

Gladly, after a quick check. We review the code and tell you honestly what is feasible.

Because a price list is almost always wrong for custom work - too high for some, too low for others. Instead you get a free first consultation, after which we put the scope in writing and name a fixed price. If something is added later, you get a separate quote for it before we start.

It depends a lot on what is being built and how many other systems it has to work with. That is why every quote includes a time frame with milestones, and every two weeks you see real progress rather than a status report. In our experience the longest waits are for decisions, content and access to third-party systems.

Usually you, because you know your business better than any agency does. So you are not staring at a blank page, we give you a list of what each page needs and a structure to fill in. On request we help with the wording - what we will not do is invent claims about you.

The build itself runs remotely, which is faster for both sides. Meetings like the kick-off, an interim review or the handover we are happy to do in person - our office is on Zollstrasse in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, and if you are nearby a meeting beats a video call. If you are further away, the same meeting happens on video and works just as well.

You do. The handover includes the repository with the source code, access to hosting and domain, and the accounts created for your project - in your name. Open-source components stay under their own licences - and we stick to ones that permit commercial use. So you are not tied to us.

No. You can book maintenance as a fixed arrangement or simply get in touch when something comes up. To be honest though: updates, backups and monitoring have to be someone's job - yours or ours. At launch we tell you exactly what needs doing regularly so you can decide.

We are a small team, so we build in a way that leaves nobody dependent on us. The code sits in a repository you have access to, we use widely adopted technologies instead of a system only we can operate, and the important decisions are documented. Another developer can pick it up without starting from scratch.

On request we run your project on servers in Switzerland or the EU. We self-host fonts and only load maps and other external services once your visitors agree - so simply opening your site does not quietly pass data to third parties. Whatever comes in through forms goes to you, and we document which data is processed for what purpose.

Access to the source code, to hosting and to the domain, plus a short briefing on who built it and what is still open. If access is missing, retrieving it is often the first piece of work - we help with that. Then we review the state of things and tell you whether building on it or rebuilding works out cheaper.

Fundamentals like clean HTML, sufficient contrast, a visible keyboard focus and alternative text for images are part of the normal work here and do not cost extra. Verified WCAG conformance with a proper audit and a written report is a project of its own - if you need it, for a public-sector client for example, we plan it in from the start.
