Operations that hold up - servers, backups and monitoring from one place
An application is only finished once it runs reliably - at night, under load spikes, and when a disk fails. We take care of servers, deployment, backups and monitoring for your websites and software. And you always know where your data sits.
Where your data lives is a decision, not a detail
With many cheap hosts the server sits somewhere, and "somewhere" often means outside Europe. We deliberately host your applications in data centres in Switzerland or the EU, and we tell you before launch which service runs in which country - database, backups and outgoing email included.
This is more than peace of mind. If you handle customer data, health data or staff records, you have to be able to answer your own clients when they ask. We give you that answer in writing instead of pointing you at a form in a support portal. Our own address in Neuhausen am Rheinfall says nothing about it, by the way: where a provider keeps its office is not automatically where your data sits - those are two separate decisions.
Backups that are tested, not just configured
A backup only counts once it can be restored. We back up database and files automatically, keep several restore points, and store a copy in a second location so a failed server does not take the safety net with it.
Just as important: we practise the restore before you need it. You get concrete numbers on how much data could be lost in the worst case and how long a full recovery takes - so nobody has to guess when it matters.
Monitoring that warns us before your customer calls
We monitor availability, response times, certificates, disk space and error rates around the clock. If an SSL certificate is about to expire, a disk fills up or server errors pile up, we get alerted - ideally long before anyone notices.
Updates belong to that too: operating system, runtimes and dependencies need regular care. We apply them on a planned, traceable schedule rather than waiting until a security hole makes the decision for us.
Room to grow without starting over
We set operations up so that more load is not a rebuild: deployments run automatically through a pipeline, configuration lives versioned in code, and a staging environment mirrors production. A change can be checked first, then rolled out - and rolled back within minutes if needed.
Whether one well-maintained machine is enough or a distributed setup makes sense is decided on your actual numbers. We deliberately avoid building anything more complicated than your operation needs.

How a project runs
- 01
Assessment
We look at what runs where today, who has access and where it hurts - free and without obligation.
- 02
Operations plan
You get it in writing: which service runs where, how backups work and what running it costs.
- 03
Build
We set up servers, certificates, backups, monitoring and the deployment pipeline.
- 04
Migration
We move data and domains in a planned window and keep the old setup available as a fallback.
- 05
Handover
Access, documentation and a short walkthrough so you know which switch is where in an emergency.
- 06
Ongoing operations
Updates, monitoring, backup checks and support - on a fixed rhythm.
Frequently asked questions
Where exactly does my data end up?
Wherever we agree before launch - and that is decided per building block: database, backups, outgoing email and any embedded services. We document in writing which service runs in which country so you can answer your own customers properly.
Can you take over my existing website from my current provider?
Usually yes. We first check what the site is built on, move everything to a staging address and test there calmly. Only then do we switch the domain - your current contract can simply run out on its own terms.
What happens if something fails at night?
Monitoring raises the alert automatically, and you reach us through a fixed channel rather than an anonymous hotline. How fast we respond is agreed up front - response times depend on the scope you book and are never invented after the fact.
How often do you back up and how long are backups kept?
We define that together, based on how much data loss your business could survive in the worst case. Daily backups with several retained restore points and a copy in a second location are common. We test the restore before you need it.
Do I even need my own server, or is cheap shared hosting enough?
For a plain company website a simple, well-chosen hosting plan is often enough - and we will tell you so. Managed operations pay off once there is an application behind it: login areas, databases, integrations, background jobs, or specific requirements around data location and availability.
